The Spirit in John 14 // Unity in the Trinity
Anytime we look at the character of one member of the Trinity, that character will hold true for all members of the Trinity. Each member is completely separate and completely unified at the same time.
John 14:1 – Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me (Jesus).
Holy Spirit would say: Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in Jesus; believe also in me.

2 Cor. 3:17 – the Lord is the Spirit
John 14:6-7 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well…”
Holy Spirit answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to Jesus except through me. If you really know me, you will know Jesus as well…”

1 Cor. 12:3 – Therefore I want you to know that… no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
John 14:9-11 – Anyone who has seen me (Jesus) has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.
Holy Spirit would say: Anyone who has seen me has seen Jesus. How can you say, ‘Show us Jesus? Don’t you believe that I am in Jesus, and that Jesus is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is Jesus, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in Jesus and Jesus is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

John 16:13-15 – But when he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He (Holy Spirit) will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me (Jesus) because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.
The Holy Spirit is going to tell us what is yet to come and it will glorify God. Why would we stifle something that glorifies God and gives us foresight?
John 14:12-17,25-26 – Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing… the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you
The only way for us to do what Jesus did is by the power of the Holy Spirit, who equips us with the same tools that Jesus had.

1 Cor. 12:7-11 – to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
